Texas Christian University – Burnett School of Medicine
At the Burnett School of Medicine at Texas Christian University, Gardner Walker’s acid-etched glass with an Opaque finish is featured specifically in a four-story corner section of the building, creating a distinctive architectural focal point. The glass’s refined matte appearance complements the building’s contemporary design while providing a unique canvas for the interplay of light and color.
During the day, the glass contributes a subtle, sophisticated texture to the architecture. At night, the illuminated installation takes on a striking purple glow, reflecting TCU’s signature color and transforming the corner into a memorable GWvisual feature. This contrast between the understated daytime finish and the vibrant nighttime effect highlights the versatility of acid-etched glass and its ability to enhance architectural spaces through texture, light and color.
