Daily Tasks
- Perform deliveries and/or pickups in all regions served by Walker (Northeastern US, New York City/Long Island, and Ontario);
- Drive flatbed trucks with retractable tarps;
- Handle necessary collections from customers;
- Perform equipment safety inspections;
- Report any mechanical issues, cargo damage, or quality problems;
- Read and follow route instructions and logbook regulations, and complete required documentation;
- Multi-delivery routes with return trips.
Job Requirements
- Hold a Class 1 driver’s license without the “W” restriction; Vocational Diploma (DEP) or 3 years of long-haul driving experience;
- Clean driving record;
- No criminal record;
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly;
- Proficiency in French and English;
- Average of 50 hours per week;
- Shifts vary depending on routes;
- Valid passport;
- Good physical condition;
- Ability to operate a crane (an asset).
