GF55 Architects’ design for 1000 Westchester responds to the program and urban environment of the local Bronx community, as well as meeting New York City’s Local Law 15 for bird-friendly building design.

Press Glass fabricated the insulated glass units offering abundant natural light to brighten classrooms. The windows are also safe for birds, thanks to AviProtek^® E markers on surface one and Solarban^® 60 low-e coating on surface 2 of the glass.
