The McMaster University Peter George Center for Living and Learning is a 14-storey, 335,000 square foot building designed by the architectural firm Diamond Schmitt. This multi-purpose construction provides new academic spaces, student residences, wellness and will be the new home for the McMaster Childcare Centre. For this project, custom acid-etched patterns were used on surface 1 with high performance low-e coatings Solarban® 67 and 70 from Vitro on surface 2. This innovative glass façade meets aesthetic and solar energy goals.
